L’Osservatorio per gli ITS in Italia è stato costituito da TTS Italia nel 2001 con l’obiettivo di creare un database continuamente aggiornato sullo stato dell’arte nazionale degli ITS e le prospettive di sviluppo di questi Sistemi in aree strategiche del trasporto, in termini di:

  • Best Practice
  • Lezioni acquisite
  • Benefici ottenuti
  • Dati di mercato

L’Osservatorio è gestito direttamente dalla Segreteria dell’Associazione. Le principali attività dell’Osservatorio riguardano studi ed indagini sugli ITS, in particolare sulle previsioni di domanda di nuove tecnologie, sistemi e servizi, i cui risultati possono essere impiegati dalle Istituzioni Pubbliche e dalle aziende associate a TTS Italia come base conoscitiva a supporto delle decisioni sulle strategie di investimento e di promozione del settore ITS nel nostro Paese.

I principali studi effettuati sono:

  • Survey sullo stato di sviluppo dei Sistemi ITS nelle Amministrazioni Locali e nelle Aziende di Trasporto Pubblico Locale – Dicembre 2001 (in collaborazione con l’Università di Roma “La Sapienza”)
  • Analisi e valutazione della domanda di sistemi telematici per il trasporto merci pericolose su strada – Settembre 2002 (in collaborazione con l’Università di Roma “La Sapienza”)
  • Indagine sui Sistemi ITS per la mobilità urbana: Amministrazioni Locali e Aziende di Trasporto Pubblico Locale – Aggiornamento 2003 – Novembre 2003 (in collaborazione con la Seconda Università di Roma “Tor Vergata”)
  • Studio sullo “Stato dell’Arte dei Sistemi ITS in Italia” – Novembre 2003 (su incarico del Ministero delle Infrastrutture e dei Trasporti). Il documento di sintesi è stato distribuito al X Congresso Mondiale sui Sistemi ITS che ha avuto luogo a Madrid a Novembre 2003
  • Realizzazione di un report sullo “Stato dell’Arte sui Sistemi ITS come emerso dal X Congresso mondiale sui Sistemi ITS di Madrid” – Aprile 2004 (su incarico del Ministero delle Infrastrutture e dei Trasporti)
  • Indagine sul “Mercato Italiano dei Sistemi ITS: Quadro produttivo attuale e previsioni future” – Dicembre 2004 (su incarico del Ministero delle Infrastrutture e dei Trasporti)
  • Survey sulla Domanda di Mercato degli ITS per il Trasporto Merci in ambito extraurbano – Dicembre 2005
  • La Domanda di Mercato degli ITS per il Trasporto Merci in ambito urbano (Maggio 2006)
  • La Domanda di Mercato dei Servizi di Infomobilità per il Trasporto Merci urbano ed extraurbano (Settembre 2006)
  • Indagine sulle Best practice ITS nelle Amministrazioni Locali (in collaborazione con il P.O.R.E. (Progetto Orientamento per le Regioni in Europa), struttura di Missione della Presidenza del Consiglio, l’Università di Roma “La Sapienza”, e Club Italia). Lo studio sarà disponibile entro Luglio 2008.

The Observatory for ITS in Italy was funded by TTS Italia in 2001 with the aim to create a database constantly updated on the National ITS state of the art and the perspective of development of these Systems in strategic areas of the transport, in terms of:

  • Best Practice
  • Learned lessons
  • Acquired benefits
  • Market data

The Observatory is directly managed by TTS Secretariat. The main activities of the Observatory regard studies and investigations on ITS, especially on the prevision of the demand of new technologies, systems and services, whose results can be used by Public Institutions and TTS Italia members as support for the decisions on investments and promotion strategies of the sector in our country.

The main studies realized are:

  • Survey on the state of the development of ITS in Local Administrations and Agencies for Local Public Transport – December 2001 (in collaboration with the Universities of Rome “La Sapienza”)
  • Analysys and evaluation of the demand of telematic systems for dangerous freight on road – September 2002 (in collaboration with the University of Rome “La Sapienza”)
  • Survey on ITS Systems for urban mobility: Local Administrations and Agencies for Local Public Transport – updated in 2003 – November 2003 (in collaboration with the Second University of Rome “Tor Vergata”)
  • Study on the “State of the Art of the ITS Systems in Italy” – November 2003 (entrusted by the Italian Ministry for Infrastructure and Transport). The summarized document was distributed during the X ITS World Congress in Madrid in November 2003
  • Realization of a report on the “State of the Art of ITS Systems as arose during the X ITS World Congress in Madrid” – April 2004 (entrusted by the Italian Ministry for Infrastructure and Transport)
  • Survey on the “ITS Italian Market: present productivity and future perspective” – December 2004 (entraste by the Italian Ministry for Infrastructure and Transport)
  • Survey on the Demando f ITS Market for Freight in extra-urban areas – December 2005
  • Demand of ITS Market for Freight in urban areas – May 2006
  • Demand of Infomobility Services Market for Freight in urban and extra-urban areas – September 2006
  • Survey on the ITS Best practice ITS in Local Administrations (in collaboration with P.O.R.E (Progetto Orientamento Regioni in Europa), structure of the Mission of Premiership, University of Rome “La Sapienza”, and Club Italia).
