TTS Italia welcomes five new members
The Board of Directors of TTS Italia on 25 January has welcomed five new members:
- ACAM (www.acam-campania.it), agency for the mobility of Campania Region (South Italy) which is characterized as a support agency to the regional administration in the development of plans, programs, contracts, procedures for the regulation and control of mobility services, mobility systems planning, development and management information systems.
- Cediss (www.cediss.com), specialized in systems for safety and security on public transports means, with a focus on systems for fleet management, surveillance and infotainment.
- ESRI Italia (www.esriitalia.it), society for services and solutions based on GIS technologies. The society is especially active in Local and Central Public Administration through systems for urban/land planning, for the environment and for emergencies management.
- ISIS –Istituto di Studi per l’Integrazione di Sistemi (www.isis-it.com), an Italian private research and consultancy firm supporting public and private policy makers in the formulation, monitoring and evaluation of energy, transport and environmental policies and decisions.
- Viasat Group (www.viasatgroup.it), operating in Italy in the security market, satellite navigation, as well as production and assembly of cards and electronic products and in the development and production of electronic systems and computer platforms.

Workshop "Canada-Italy: partners in Automotive, Vehicles & Connected Innovation" - February 8, 2012, Turin
The Embassy of Canada in collaboration with TTS Italia, is organizing for next February 8, 2012, in Turin, the Workshop "Canada-Italy: partners in Automotive, Vehicles & Connected Innovation". The Workshop, which includes the organization of B2B meetings will be held at the Convention Center "Incontra". The event sees the collaboration of Confindustria, the Chamber of Commerce of Turin, Piemonte International Centre, Industrial Union of Turin, APMA, APRE and ANFIA.

5t, TTS Italia ordinary member, and Regione Piemonte, presented the TOC - Traffic Operation Center project.
The project, which involves also the Councillors for Mobility of the eight provinces of Piemonte, aims to provide users real-time information on traffic and the status of all roads in Piemonte, with special applications on smartphones available through on-board satellite navigation system, variable message signs, radio bulletins and websites. 5t, in particular, will be in charge of the realization of the operations center on behalf of Regione Piemonte, extending at regional level the platform for the urban mobility management currently active in Turin. The total project cost is 3.5 million Euro, of which 2.6 Fas funds, in addition to 700 000 Euros for the operations center, from regional funds. The TOC has a dual significance: on one hand it provides detailed information to road users in real time, on the other it provides managing bodies with timely data to optimize planning. The project involves the installation of 216 sensors on the streets of Piemonte in the years 2012-2014, with a core group of 70 within a year and a half. T existing infrastructure and systems such as cameras and variable message signs will also be enhanced.

ATAC announces tender for integrated control and management of urban mobility
Atac, TTS Italia founding member, has launched the tender for the award of the contract on for the design and implementation of automation systems to control vehicle access, parking management exchange, the centralization (including the organization of the control central), remote control of all the automation systems of new construction and existing facilities of Atac and civil works and the fencing of the parking lots.The deadline for submission of bids is February 28, 2012.

Oracle wins contract for the infologistics system of the Italia Navy
Oracle, TTS Italia ordinary member, has won the tender issued by Ministry of Defence for the modernization of the Oracle infologistics system of the Italian Navy. Total final value of 384 is 707.16 Euro

Project Automation wins tender
Project Automation, TTS Italia ordinary member, has won the tender issued by Selene SpA for the maintenance of the videosurveillance systems of Milan and adjacet areas. The total final value of the tender is 800 000,00 Euro.

Project Automation wins contract for access control system
Project Automation, TTS Italia ordinary member, has won the tender issued by the police of the Municipality of Matera for the supply of systems for access control to restricted traffic zones and pedestrian areas of the city of Matera. The total final value of the contract is 317 000,00 Euro.

Project Automation wins tender for Limited Traffic Zone access control
Project Automation, TTS Italia ordinary member, has won the tender issude by the Municipality of Nuoro, for the supply of rental systems for Limited Traffic Zones access control. The contract also includes five-year performance of routine maintenance, extraordinary maintenance and testing of equipment that make up the surveillance system. The total final value of the tender is Euro 322 946, 85.

Solari Udine wins contract to supply monitors to Trenitalia
Solari Udine, TTS Italia ordinary member, has won the tender issued by Trenitalia (railway company) for the supply and installation of 333 monitor with on-board PC for communications and information to customers for arrivals / departures at Club areas, ticket halls and customer service rooms. The total final value of the tender is 985 972.00 Euro

Thetis at "IT Trans" for the public transport
Thetis, TTS Italia ordinary member, will participate at the "IT Trans" event dedicated to the solutions for public transport that will be held from 15 to 17 February in Germany, in Karlsruhe. Thetis will present its products and innovative solutions on the topic of sustainable mobility and public transport, such as real-time AVM - Automatic Vehicle Management, Service Planning, On board CCTV, passenger information, infotainment, passenger counting, EcoDriving, ticketing, maintenance, Reporting and Service Certification. International platform for informing and updating the operators and managers of public transport at world level, "IT Trans" is also an opportunity to meet and get to know the representatives of transport companies in the field of traffic and mobility, the authorities , associations and scientists with whom you can exchange knowledge with an emphasis on practical developments planned for the future.

CEN Workshop Agreement 16390:2012 Interface control document for provision of EGNOS CS/EDAS based services for tracking and tracing of the transport of goods
EGNOS, European Geostationary Overlay Service, is the first European Satellite Navigation system that augments the GPS signal over Europe and the Mediterranean area. EGNOS improves the GPS position accuracy and provides more precise positioning services (up to 3-4 metres). After its success in Europe, OMNIA sets it sights on Asia and America

With its success already consolidated in Europe, OMNIA is now venturing into other continents. Two new contracts - worth 23m and 11m euros respectively – have recently been signed in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) and Argentina (Buenos Aires). The OMNIA platform, developed by MIZAR Automazione, is designed to permit the integration of a large range of ITS applications through a common and intuitive interface. OMNIA exploits avant guarde technologies in order to be able to offer a tool which is easy to adapt to any transport scenario. Among its strong points OMNIA:
